What
are Conservation Subdivisions?
The
purpose of conservation subdivisions is to create residential
communities among the natural wildlife and habitats that have
existed for many years. The communities are designed to minimize
land destruction.
There
are many beautiful open areas in Southeastern Wisconsin that are
home to various small animals and migratory birds, and filled
with ponds, trees, plants, and wildflowers. Unfortunately, the
inevitible growth of our population forces many developers to
sacrifice this natural growth to create space for new homes.
Conservation
subdivisions - sometimes referred to as cluster developments -
provide an alternative to the destruction of the land by arranging
homes and streets in a way that allows much of the area around
them to remain open.
Homeowners
in Legacy's conservation developments can enjoy walking, hiking,
or biking trails, horse-riding trails, and public picnic areas
among the wildlife, while still having easy access to main highways.
The land used for these developments will be preserved for years
to come, and it will provide wonderful homes now and for future
generations.
